Intralogistics automation in factories and warehouses is here to stay

A new era of digitalisation is coming. Relationships between people, technology and robots have been changing. In intralogistics, for example, already collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots cooperate with people at smart warehouses.

Autonomous technology is successfully developed and implemented in Poland by leading intralogistics provider, Europa Systems.

Europa Systems was run as a family business. Krzysztof Marszałek, a former CEO who is currently a member of the Supervisory Board, founded this company 20 years ago in Western Poland. But now it’s a completely different scale of operation by this entity. Having a modern production plant, R&D unit and employing over 240 engineers and technical staff, Europa Systems is considered as a leading player in the development and design of automation systems for intralogistics in Europe.

Nowadays Europa Systems develops and designs comprehensive solutions based on collaborative robots (ES Cobot) and autonomous technology (ES Smart). The robotic application ensures high efficiency and flexibility in the package picking processes – in accordance with the Smart Warehouse concept.

It’s not enough, though. Europa Systems is on track to building its strong brand in issues related to Industry 4.0 and Smart Warehouse. Marcin Tomkiewicz, who was appointed in April 2019 as a new CEO and President, has taken this direction because it's his thing. He held key positions in global companies also known as top-class players for implementations in the area of Industry 4.0.

Moreover, Europa Systems’ engineers use their intralogistics know-how as an Automation Integrator. This company from Poland is a leading manufacturer of custom-made automated conveyor systems including belt conveyors with Habasit world-class components inside.

“Our organisation includes a research and development centre that defines and evaluates the innovative solutions we implement. Every custom-made design completed by our company is totally different because of their innovativeness,“ says Marcin Tomkiewicz, CEO of Europa Systems.

Each conveyor system design is customised to fit the specific needs of the company involved. It must be incorporated into the material flow system, and it must also take into account the type of products or components to be transported.

You can find out what intralogistics automation is – and see how the belt conveyor is manufactured – by watching our latest video made in cooperation with Habasit. This conveyor will be used to transport mineral wool.

Technology is changing and developing extremely quickly. It seems like there is a new innovation produced nearly every day. Technology has changed the way business is managed. It has allowed many people to reach goals and try new things that they’ve never done before. Innovation in intralogistics needs to be agile to respond to the challenges in future e-commerce or retail warehouse sector. Europa Systems is aware of them.

Therefore they are working on a new growth strategy with a clear, new vision: “The first-choice partner for Agile Intralogistics Solution in Europe”.

A great opportunity to see innovations in intralogistics with your own eyes is to visit Europa Systems at LogiMAT 2020, which takes place from March 10th – 12 th, 2020 in Stuttgart, Germany. Postponed to March 2020
